Assabet Technical Institute (ATI), the adult education division of Assabet Valley Regional Technical Vocational School District, is seeking a motivated and industry-experienced Chapter 74 Electrical Teacher to support the expansion of our new Dual Enrollment Electrical Program and established Evening Electrical Program.
This full-time position provides an exciting opportunity to work with both high school dual enrollment students and adult learners in a rigorous, hands-on electrical training environment aligned with Massachusetts licensure requirements and workforce needs.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction in electrical code, theory, and hands-on applications while preparing students for success in the electrical trade and future Journeyman licensure pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:
Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on instruction aligned with Massachusetts Chapter 74 Electrical frameworks.
Teach Electrical Code & Theory and hands-on electrical lab instruction to both dual enrollment high school students and adult evening students.
Prepare students for advancement toward Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician licensure requirements.
Develop lesson plans, practical projects, assessments, and industry-aligned instructional materials.
Integrate workplace readiness, safety, professionalism, and technical skills into instruction.
2. Dual Enrollment Program Support:
Support the implementation and growth of ATI’s new Dual Enrollment Electrical initiative in partnership with local comprehensive high schools.
Collaborate with sending school administrators, counselors, and families to support student achievement and career exploration opportunities.
Monitor student attendance, progress, competencies, and safety compliance.
3. Lab & Safety Management:
Maintain a safe, organized, and industry-standard electrical lab environment.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, Massachusetts electrical code standards, and school safety policies.
Oversee equipment, tools, inventory, and instructional materials associated with electrical programming.
Promote and enforce safe work habits and practices at all times.
4. Student Support & Career Readiness:
Mentor students pursuing careers in the electrical and construction trades.
Assist students with resume development, interview preparation, apprenticeship readiness, and employment opportunities.
Develop relationships with local contractors, unions, apprenticeship programs, and industry partners to support workforce pathways.
5. Program Development & Collaboration:
Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with industry standards.
Collaborate with ATI administration and instructional staff to support enrollment, retention, and student engagement efforts.
Assist with recruitment events, open houses, career awareness programs, and community outreach initiatives.
6. Administrative Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and competency records.
Participate in required meetings, professional development, and school activities.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Community Education or ATI Coordinator.
Salary : $73,688 - $92,186
