TRMCi Paid Intern Program (Full-Time, Temporary)
ASRC Federal, under contract with the Department of Defense Test Resource Management Center (TRMC), sponsors the TRMCi Program (TRMC Internship Program). This highly competitive program places students in hands-on research and development roles at premier DoD test and evaluation (T&E) ranges. The program will have interns onsite at locations consisting of U.S. Department of Defense Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) or affiliated TRMCi location. A full list of locations is provided at the bottom of this posting.
Interns work directly with military and civilian mentors on projects supporting cutting-edge technologies, flight test, cyber defense, electronic warfare, space systems, hypersonics, and other mission areas critical to national security.
Target Internship Dates: June 1, 2026-August 7, 2026
Additional Benefits: Per diem, lodging, and travel support may be provided depending on duty station.

Responsibilities
- Support research, engineering, and technical projects at assigned DoD test range.
- Apply STEM coursework to real-world defense challenges in test and evaluation.
- Conduct data analysis, modeling, software development, prototyping, or range operations (depending on placement).
- Present technical findings and recommendations at program closeout symposium.
- Collaborate with mentors, engineers, and fellow interns to solve complex problems.
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship and a background investigation.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- For traditional STEM interns: Enrolled full-time in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in a STEM field (engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, etc.).
- For artisan pathway interns: Enrolled in a technical associates degree or certificate program (examples: mechatronics, applied technology, advanced manufacturing, information technology).
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Prior hands-on project or lab experience in engineering, computer science, or data analysis.
- Familiarity with programming languages (Python, C , MATLAB, etc.) or modeling tools.
- Demonstrated interest in defense, aerospace, or national security applications.
