Requirements
- BA/BS degree (or Associate's degree) and at least three (3) years of records or library experience.
- Records management experience, including filing paper and electronic records, entering data into records management systems, preparing records for disposition or retiring, and usage of records retention schedules.
- Customer service skills, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail required.
- Experience/proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Experience with SharePoint is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, to prioritize and manage multiple on-going projects, to quickly adapt to change, and to meet deadlines.
- Ability work on-site at EPA customer site; Experience working with federal record schedules is a strong plus.
- Physical requirements include the ability to have full range of arm motion; including lifting above the head, ability to bend, stooping and kneeling, ability to routinely lift and carry 40 lbs. in weight, to push or pull 200 lbs. on carts, to push or pull 1200 lbs. via pallet jack, ability to use step ladders to reach materials on upper shelves. Candidate should also be comfortable sitting at computer workstation for long periods of time.
- US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident status in order to pass a government sponsored background investigation.
- Support our nationwide contract by providing records management to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Lenexa, KS.
- Oversee and implement direction given by project manager.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the use of virtual spaces for document management, digital document compilation and processing, and management of complex digital collections in records management systems.
- Utilize electronic records management systems (database) for search, retrieval, and document metadata creation, applying records retention schedules to files for the purposes of retention, archiving and disposition, and preparation and review of file plans.
- Analyze records management problems and designs strategies to meet records management program needs.
- Working on projects requiring greater detail, complexity, and skill level such as advanced indexing and scanning.
