Requirements:
- High School diploma and 4 years of experience OR an Associates/Bachelor's degree and 2 years of records management experience.
- Experience/proficiency with MS Office.
- Ability to work independently and on teams, to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, to prioritize and manage multiple on-going projects, to quickly adapt to change, and to meet deadlines
- Customer service skills, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail required.
- Ability to maintain metrics and report accurate statistics
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment and a willingness to assist in other tasks as assigned
- US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident status in order to pass a government sponsored background investigation.
- Provide metadata and quality assurance support for EPA documents, including but not limited to reviewing and preparing legacy scanned documents, entering metadata, and making corrections on records with errors.
- Review electronic images to ensure they are of the highest quality possible.
- Track daily work and enter daily statistics into an electronic database.
- Assist with other records management projects as required.
- Provide customer service support which includes responding to internal and external requests, entering information into a database, distributing requested documents, and image conversion of paper, microfiche and microfilm to electronic format.
- Retrieve and return documents to the Federal Record Center using the archives and records retrieval application.
- Prep, scan, index and perform quality assurance checks on legacy documents received for scanning projects.
