Position Overview:
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the resident admissions process. This role ensures a seamless transition for new residents and their families, from initial inquiry to move-in, while maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary contact for all admissions inquiries and referrals.
Conduct tours and provide detailed information about facility services and care options.
Coordinate and schedule resident admissions, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all required documentation.
Communicate with hospitals, physicians, social workers, and family members to facilitate smooth transitions of care.
Verify insurance coverage and assist with financial paperwork as needed.
Collaborate with the nursing and administrative teams to ensure readiness for new admissions.
Maintain accurate records of inquiries, referrals, and admissions activities.
Participate in marketing and community outreach efforts to promote the facility and build relationships with referral sources.
Uphold confidentiality and compliance with all HIPAA and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in long-term care admissions, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
