About The Role
We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery Production (Machine Operator) – 1st Shift to join our Production team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. In this role, you will operate production line equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring product quality, minimizing waste, and supporting continuous production flow to meet company and customer standards.
Shift & Schedule
Shift: 1st Shift
Weekend availability: Required
Overtime, holidays, and schedule changes: As required by production needs
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $22-$23

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Operate and monitor bakery production line equipment to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards
- Ensure products meet company specifications for size, weight, consistency, and quality
- Maintain accurate and legible production, downtime, and waste documentation each shift
- Communicate line status, issues, and production changes with team members and support departments
- Troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues and escalate when necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with GMPs
- Support team performance through collaboration, training, and shift hand‑offs
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math, timekeeping, and record‑keeping skills
- Ability to make logical decisions and follow production schedules
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and climb throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or drag up to 50 lbs and frequently carry 20 lbs
- Willingness to work in cold, hot, loud, wet, or dusty production environments
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or bakery production environment
- Experience operating production or processing equipment
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Experience training or supporting new team members
Salary : $22 - $23
