We are seeking a General Labor, Bakery – Production (Line Inspector) to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. As a Line Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring semi‑finished products meet all food safety, quality, and company standards before entering the freezer, helping to prevent production delays, reduce waste, and maintain operational efficiency.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 1st
- Hours: 6AM - 2:30PM
- Weekend availability: Required
- Inspect and measure semi‑finished dough to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and company specifications
- Identify, remove, and properly sort non‑conforming product to prevent production disruptions and excess waste
- Communicate quality, mechanical, or process issues to operators, mixers, supervisors, and support teams
- Support line efficiency through assistance with start‑ups, shutdowns, changeovers, and downtime reduction
- Maintain accurate, legible documentation and complete all required paperwork by shift end
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety procedures, and Aspire Bakeries values at all times
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area while supporting overall team performance
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math and time‑keeping skills
- Ability to make logical decisions in a fast‑paced production environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, push, or drag up to 50 lbs. and frequently carry over 20 lbs.
- Ability to work in cold, wet, dusty, noisy, or hot production environments
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production facility
- Familiarity with quality inspections and production line operations
- Experience working with mechanical or electrical equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in a manufacturing setting
