What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector (1st Shift) position at Aspen Surgical?
In This Position, You Will Have the Opportunity To
- Responsible for incoming inspection of all raw materials
- Perform post-sterility quality checks and document results
- Follow sampling plans
- Ensure all raw materials are properly labeled after inspection is complete
- Initiate and complete Corrective Actions when appropriate
- Complete all necessary paperwork and filing in an accurate manner
- Inspect raw material, assembles, packages and inspects products to ensure product meets quality criteria as needed
- Assemble product per work instructions as needed
- Attend all safety training sessions and certifications courses when offered
- Participate in department meetings
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1-2 years related experience and/or training preferred
- Ability to read and interpret various measurement instruments
- Good computer skills to be able to enter information into databases and spreadsheets
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Must be flexible and adaptable
- Ability to read and interpret various Inspection related measurement instruments. Experience in the use of inspection equipment such as pin gauges, calipers, micrometers, and comparator a plus
- Familiar with basic blueprint reading
- Conscientious, accurate, and detailed-oriented regarding work output
- Operate pallet jacks and other heavy machinery in safe manner at all times
- Follow Aspen Surgical safety guidelines and procedures when and where required; notify manager of safety concerns in the department
- Maintain and display strong attendance habits by being present and on time
- Utilize downtime properly
- Availability to frequently work overtime and weekends
