Construction Manager – Electrical
Overview
My client is a leading developer and operator of large-scale, sustainable data centre infrastructure supporting high-performance compute and AI workloads. They are seeking an experienced Construction Manager – Electrical to support the delivery of a major on-site data centre project in Childress, Texas.

Reporting to: Project Execution Manager
The Role
This role is responsible for managing all electrical construction activities on site, including power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and redundant A/B power infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end electrical construction activities on a live data centre project
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers on site
- Review electrical designs, drawings, and specifications
- Oversee testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and local codes
- Track programme, cost, and site progress
- Identify and mitigate electrical and delivery risks
Required Experience
- 7 years’ experience in electrical construction management
- Background in mission-critical environments (data centres, hospitals, industrial facilities)
- Strong knowledge of UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, and redundant power systems
- Experience managing subcontractors on large-scale projects
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Nice to Have
- Prior data centre construction or commissioning experience
- Exposure to liquid or advanced cooling systems
- PE or PMP certification
