They are looking for a Data Centre Director to join their growing team in New Jersey.
This role will be pivotal in managing the operations of a 300MW data centre facility and helping to build and lead a dynamic team of engineers to ensure the smooth, efficient, and reliable operation of the site.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in data centre operations to take on a leadership role and play a key part in shaping and scaling the team and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the data centre, ensuring all systems and services are running efficiently and reliably.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all operational issues, from electrical and mechanical systems to environmental controls and security protocols.
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure operational excellence.
- Develop and implement operational processes, procedures, and best practices to maintain optimal data centre performance and uptime.
- Lead the execution of preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting, and incident management to address system failures or disruptions.
- Monitor data centre systems and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring all operational metrics are met and exceeded.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and third-party service providers to ensure smooth coordination for maintenance, upgrades, and other operational activities.
- Manage and improve the facility's health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Contribute to the development of operational budgets and resource planning to support the growth and scalability of the data centre operations.
