Overview
My client is a leading developer and operator of large-scale, sustainable data centre infrastructure supporting AI and high-performance compute workloads. They are hiring an Electrical & Systems Lead to join their on-site operations team in Childress, Texas.

Reporting to: Senior Operations Manager
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position acting as the primary on-site authority for electrical distribution, control systems, and mission-critical data centre operations. The role supports liquid-cooled, high-density compute environments and is responsible for system reliability, technician leadership, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on-site technicians and oversee daily workload and performance
- Act as the main escalation point for operational and technical issues
- Ensure reliable power, cooling, and HPC system performance
- Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical infrastructure
- Troubleshoot electrical, control-system, and liquid-to-chip cooling issues
- Support installation and maintenance of servers, GPUs, fibre, and network hardware
- Conduct electrical testing, IR inspections, and system health checks
- Coordinate with vendors and OEMs on repairs and RMAs
- Maintain accurate documentation, inventory, and CMMS records
- Enforce NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and internal safety standards
Required Experience
- 5 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience
- Experience in mission-critical or data centre environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems (UPS, switchgear, PDUs, generators, ATS)
- Ability to diagnose electrical, electro-mechanical, and control-system issues
- Experience reading schematics, one-lines, and wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with electrical testing tools
- Leadership experience supervising technicians
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation and commute or relocate to site
