Job Title: Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration: 6 Months
Pay rate: $55/hr. - $60/hr. On W2
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced accounting professional to join our Corporate Consolidation team on a 6-month contract. This individual will play a key role in supporting our corporate accounting close and consolidation function and the implementation of our Tagetik Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on systems experience, and the ability to proactively identify, research, and resolve both accounting and system-related issues while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Tagetik EPM implementation by participating in business process design, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system validation, issue resolution, and post-deployment stabilization.
- Validate accounting results and system configurations to ensure they align with business requirements and US GAAP.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and external implementation partners to troubleshoot system and process issues.
- Monitor intercompany journal entries in SAP and supporting systems.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve intercompany discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain and communicate foreign exchange rates in accounting systems to support proper revaluation, translation, and consolidation.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for intercompany, consolidation, and financial reporting processes.
- Support quarterly and annual external reporting activities by preparing consolidation schedules and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support SOX compliance activities.
- Support management reporting, statutory reporting, and other special accounting projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including intercompany accounting, foreign currency accounting, consolidation, and topside journal entries.
- Experience working with multiple legal entities and multinational corporate structures.
- Hands-on experience supporting ERP, EPM, or financial systems implementations, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business process testing, and system validation.
- Strong systems aptitude with the ability to understand end-to-end accounting processes, validate system configurations, identify system issues, and work effectively with Finance and IT teams.
- Experience with Tagetik, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Group Reporting, or other consolidation/EPM platforms is strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
