Job Description:
Client is seeking a highly skilled R&D Software Engineer with strong expertise in DevOps, CI/CD automation, and build/release engineering. The ideal candidate will drive automation, improve build reliability, and support software deployment processes in a collaborative R&D environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Git
- Implement build automation, packaging, and deployment workflows
- Support installation frameworks such as InstallShield, Chocolatey, and Docker
- Enhance build performance, reliability, and scalability
- Manage source control (branching, merging, release management)
- Perform system administration tasks (Windows/Linux environments)
- Monitor and troubleshoot DevOps infrastructure
- Collaborate with global teams, including India-based R&D teams
Required Skills:
- 2–7 years of experience in DevOps / CI/CD / Build & Release Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins (Groovy pipelines), Git, Docker
- Experience with InstallShield, Chocolatey, NuGet, Artifactory
- Proficiency in scripting/programming (C#, Python, Shell)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD best practices
- Experience with Windows system administration (Linux is a plus)
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and learn quickly
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
