Buyer Planner
Ashton North is partnering with a fast-growing mid-size manufacturing company in the Cleveland area that is expanding its operations and looking to add a Buyer Planner to support production and supply chain activities.
This role plays a key part in ensuring materials are available to support manufacturing schedules. The Buyer Planner will work closely with production teams, value stream managers, and suppliers to manage purchasing activities and maintain strong material availability across the manufacturing floor.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with operations and production teams while managing purchasing and planning responsibilities within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Procure raw materials, components, and supplies required to support manufacturing operations.
Manage purchase orders and supplier communication to ensure materials are delivered on time.
Monitor material requirements and adjust purchasing activity to align with production schedules.
Maintain communication with suppliers regarding order status and delivery timelines.
Work closely with production teams and value stream managers to ensure material availability.
Participate in daily production meetings to support alignment between purchasing and manufacturing needs.
Monitor inventory levels to maintain appropriate supply while minimizing excess inventory.
Maintain purchasing and inventory records within internal systems.
Assist in resolving supply issues that may impact production schedules.
Qualifications
Three to five years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain planning, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with ERP or MRP systems.
Strong Excel and computer skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work closely with production teams and manufacturing leadership.
Bachelor’s degree is helpful but not required.

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
