MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High School graduate or equivalent. Incumbent should possess strong technical skills. Proven emphasis on customer service orientation in responding to requests for service and repairs and dealing with people. Knowledge of mechanical/computer interface essential. Knowledge of computerized Energy Management System preferred. Must possess valid drivers license and meet ARMC insurability requirements.

Required Length and Type of Experience
-
Minimum of five years experience in one of the following trades: Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, or HVAC preferred.
Military experience such as Utilitiesman (UT), Builder (BU), Machinists Mate (MM) or similar will be considered.

Required Licensure or Certification
- Dependent on the operational needs, a 3rd Class Stationary Engineer's License may be required.
- Current Valid State Driver's License (VDL)
- Minimum of two years of driving experience; minimum of five years of driving experience if transporting patients and/or visitors.
- Zero points preferred on driver’s license and cannot exceed six points total allowable.
- Maintain evidence of personal auto insurance.
- Assume responsibility to pay fees associated with traffic violations.
- Must maintain eligibility of insurability as determined by ARMC's insurance carrier's requirement to operate organization’s vehicles.

GENERAL SUMMARY

- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, structures and systems throughout the facility
- Performs maintenance repair work in one or more of the following areas: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and/or paint at the direction and oversight of the department.
- Documents and maintains records of work performed pursuant to departmental processes.
