EnnisCourt is a privately-owned and operated facility with 50 Skilled Nursing beds and 32 Assisted Living units, including 12 units in a secured, keypad-accessible area specifically designed for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other cognitive impairments. We are hiring for the position of Maintenance Assistant. Qualified candidates will be expected to assist in the upkeep and repair of the facility's physical plant and grounds. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing urgent repair needs, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Duties will include:

• General repairs of plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Performing regular inspections and maintenance on equipment and systems to prevent breakdowns.
• Preparing and painting walls, repairing drywall, and addressing other surface issues.
• Removing leaves, snow and ice, and ensuring walkways are safe.
• Ensuring that all maintenance equipment is in good working order and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
• Cleaning, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
• Cleaning various surfaces, including those in resident rooms and common areas.
• Promptly responding to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
• Being available for emergency troubleshooting and repairs of equipment.
• Ensuring all work is done in accordance with state, federal, and OSHA standards.
• Keeping accurate records of work completed and any recurring issues.
• Working effectively with other staff members, including the Maintenance Director.
• Following safe work procedures at all times.
• Working as part of a team to maintain the facility and ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff.

The Maintenance Assistant's duties often include moving of furniture, installation of appliances in resident rooms, and other tasks that require the ability to lift and transport heavy objects. It may be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations. The Maintenance Assistant may sometimes be scheduled to assist the Housekeeping Department in cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
