Operations Manager (Construction)

Asheville Carpentry is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily flow of our projects and ensure our teams are set up for success. This is a leadership role, not a hands-on carpentry position. You'll be the one keeping projects on track, making sure resources are in place, and guiding our crews to deliver quality work that reflects our reputation. This position is ideal for someone with high-end construction experience, excellent organizational skills, and a leadership style that balances accountability with support.

As Operations Manager, you'll be expected to model and reinforce these values across every project, every crew, and every client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all active projects, ensuring schedules and milestones are met
• Manage dispatching, project scheduling, and resource allocation
• Understand materials, staff hours, and skill levels required for each project
• Assign jobs to the right team members based on strengths and availability
• Supervise and support field crews, ensuring quality standards are met
• Monitor operations for efficiency, safety, and client satisfaction
• Serve as a key liaison between field teams, office staff, and clients
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction operations or project management, preferably in high-end residential remodeling or carpentry
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Deep understanding of construction workflows, materials, and trade staffing
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff, clients, and vendors
• Professional demeanor; able to represent Asheville Carpentry with integrity and warmth
• Tech-savvy enough to manage schedules, reporting, and communication tools
  
  

Compensation & Perks

• Schedule: Full-time, exempt role, Monday-Friday
• Base Salary of $60,000 annually
• Bonus opportunities tied to project delivery and company growth, with potential total compensation up to $100,000
• Eligible for a dedicated vehicle for project supervision (per company policy)
