Position Summary:
The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for supporting and managing key HR functions within Chai Pani Restaurant Group and Spicewalla. This role ensures smooth day-to-day HR operations, including assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. The HR Administrator will act as a key point of contact for staff inquiries, provide administrative support to the HR team, and contribute to the development of a positive company culture.
Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding:

Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, processing stage interview payments, and managing current job postings.

Coordinate and assist with the onboarding of new hires, including preparing offer letters, and communicating directly with employees and managers to ensure the completion of all new hire paperwork.

Process tax withholding forms, I-9 documents, and E-Verify for new hires.

Employee Records & Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policy and legal requirements, including but not limited to pay, job, and employment status updates.

Manage HR documentation, including employment contracts, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, incident reports, etc.

Assist in updating and maintaining employee handbooks and HR policies as needed.

Assist with audits, recordkeeping, and reporting to ensure company adherence to all employment laws and regulations.

Enter weekly personnel and recruiting information into Operational Dashboards for leadership review.

Benefits Administration:

Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, paid time off (PTO), cash advance program, and other benefits.

Answer unemployment requests from applicable state departments.

Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and enrollment, ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted on time.

Track employee benefits eligibility and ensure compliance with enrollment periods.

Payroll Support:

Ensure all HR-related payroll documentation is accurate and submitted on time, including updates to pay rates, employee status, and benefits deductions.

Employee Relations:

Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and benefits.

Assist with resolving workplace conflicts and employee concerns, escalating issues to senior leadership as needed.

Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to building a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

General HR Support:

Provide administrative support to the HR department, including preparing reports, maintaining HR systems, and organizing HR files.

Assist with special HR projects, such as employee surveys and creating requested employee reports.

Assist in the coordination of manager training programs, including scheduling sessions, preparing materials, and tracking completion.
