Position: Powder Coat PainterLocation: Nazareth, PASIGN-ON BONUSASGCO has a Powder Coat Painter opening for a candidate that will be responsible for completing finishing tasks for the Metal Fabrication Department. This applicant must be able to maintain high quality work, high level of attention to detail while ensuring personal productivity and safe operation of the machinery. The right candidate must be able to take ownership of the area, keep it organized neat and clean. ASGCO offers a competitive wage, OT and an excellent benefits package that includes options for healthcare coverage, 401(k) plan, vacation and paid holidays.Responsibilities:Paint with primer and 2 part epoxiesSand blastingPreparation workPowder coatingReviews and interprets written work instructionsMust be able to accurately read measuring devicesEffectively prioritize workloads and use of available resources within time constraintsAssists with keeping the shop in an orderly and clean state, following all company safety proceduresMust be able to move steel materials utilizing physical strength forklifts, slings and strapsResponsible for quality control of all jobs and ordersOperate a company vehicleOther responsibilities as seen fit by managementRequirements:Industrial steel coating experience requiredSand blasting experienceValid driver's licenseBasic math skills, convert decimals to fractional equivalentsPrioritize workloadsAbility to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule forms such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manualsAbility to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situationsThorough knowledge of various types of metals, their physical properties and how to work with themCandidates must pass a background check, drug screen and other job requirementsCan lift up to 50lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching and standing for long periods of time, significant fine finger dexterityHigh school diploma or equivalentWorking Conditions:Frequently exposed to regulated noise, cold working conditions also exposed to smells that are within the guidelinesPossible exposure extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, fumes or airborne particlesWhile performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) during the workdayPersonal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, which may include a hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, gloves and other required protective equipment as required.May be required to work overtime on as needed basis.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
