Field Service Technician- MD

Position: Field Service TechnicianLocation: Marriottsville, MDSIGN-ON BONUSASGCO engineers, manufactures, and distributes a wide array of conveyor and screening components, all specifically designed for the above-ground and underground mining, aggregate, cement, recycling, bulk shipping terminals, pulp and paper, food processing and other bulk material handling industries. We focus on providing exceptional products and service to our customers with the best solutions to their conveyor and screening material handling applications.We are looking for Field Service / Conveyor Belt Technicians/Maintenance/Millwrights to install, service and repair conveyor belts and components, motors and who have experience on Industrial jobsites, including Aggregate, Asphalt, Bulk Shipping Terminals, Ready-mix, Quarries and other types of Industrial / Manufacturing plants. We provide in-house training programs for advancement. Any construction or millwright type jobs including steel fabrication, welding, proper rigging techniques and any conveyor experience is a plus. This is an opportunity to become part of a very progressive company with continued growth.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Install new, change out, repair or splice conveyor beltDemonstrate proper safe use of handling of tools, equipment and materialsMust be mechanically inclinedFollows instructions under the leadership of the Crew Lead to ensure all aspects of the job are covered to avoid any time-consuming delays as well as hazard and/or task training that may be required before the task beginsEnsures equipment is maintained in proper working order to avoid injury and work areas are kept clean/free of hazards which may endanger the health/safety of any employeeTake part of our Conveyor Technician training programs for advancementBe willing and able to work a variety of schedules on-call, including dayshift, nightshift and weekendsComply with all policies and procedures in Employee HandbookRequirements:High School Diploma or GED, preferredReliable transportation/ Active Driver's LicenseVery Hands-on mechanicallyMillwright experience a plusRegular and punctual attendanceAbility to travelEffective communication is requiredMust be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independentlyJob duties will be performed underground and on surface, those interested must be able to obtain all applicable Federal and State underground and surface certifications, successfully complete industry approved training courses.Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requiresOpportunities:Weekly PaySign- on BonusOver- time & double- timeTravel time, hotel, and food* paid forTraining Programs (ASGCO Conveyor Technician Program)Working Conditions:Work is performed in various industrial settings and environments, including shop, mining, and construction which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles.While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) during the workdayPersonal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, gloves and other required protective equipment as required.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
