Position: Powder Coat Painter

Location: Nazareth, PA

ASGCO has a Powder Coat Painter opening for a candidate that will be responsible for completing finishing tasks for the Metal Fabrication Department. This applicant must be able to maintain high quality work, high level of attention to detail while ensuring personal productivity and safe operation of the machinery. The right candidate must be able to take ownership of the area, keep it organized neat and clean. Responsibilities

• Paint with primer and 2 part epoxies
• Sand blasting
• Preparation work
• Powder coating
• Reviews and interprets written work instructions
• Must be able to accurately read measuring devices
• Effectively prioritize workloads and use of available resources within time constraints
• Assists with keeping the shop in an orderly and clean state, following all company safety procedures
• Must be able to move steel materials utilizing physical strength forklifts, slings and straps
• Responsible for quality control of all jobs and orders
• Operate a company vehicle
• Other responsibilities as seen fit by management
  
  

Requirements

• Industrial steel coating experience required
• Sand blasting experience
• Valid driver's license
• Basic math skills, convert decimals to fractional equivalents
• Prioritize workloads
• Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule forms such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations
• Thorough knowledge of various types of metals, their physical properties and how to work with them
• Candidates must pass a background check, drug screen and other job requirements
• Can lift up to 50lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching and standing for long periods of time, significant fine finger dexterity
• High school diploma or equivalent
  
  

Working Conditions

• Frequently exposed to regulated noise, cold working conditions also exposed to smells that are within the guidelines
• Possible exposure extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles
• While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) during the workday
• Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, which may include a hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, gloves and other required protective equipment as required.
• May be required to work overtime on as needed basis.
