Description:
Perform routine maintenance for metal building manufacturer.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, install and upgrade of facility equipment
- Respond to machine failures
- Establish good teamwork within the department and with production staff
- Document machine deficiencies, troubleshooting activities, corrective actions and time required to perform those actions
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facilities, production equipment and material handling equipment
- Train operators in operator level maintenance
- May perform welding duties
- Electrical repair
- Other duties as assigned
- Follow all safety policies and procedures; wear all required PPE
- Position reports to Maintenance Team Leader and Maintenance Supervisor
Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of use of hand tools
- Welding experience or ability to learn
- Basic exposure to variable speed drives
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
- Working knowledge of mechanical drives, i.e. chain, belt, and gear
- Able to send, receive email and other electronic communications
- Ability to read basic blue prints
- Min. 1 - 3 yrs. electrical experience.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment including dial indicators, digital multimeter
- Ability to listen to, interpret and follow directions
- Willingness to learn and expand knowledge and skills
- Valid driver's license
- Forklift certification or ability to pass certification within first 30 days.
Monday-Friday, overtime scheduled as needed.
