Summary Of Position
The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing electrical installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities for automated systems. This role provides technical direction and supervision to electrical technicians while ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards.
The Electrical Supervisor maintains responsibility for electrical and pneumatic systems on large integration programs, including panel wiring, machine wiring, and system startup. This includes oversight of powering and troubleshooting electrical panels, wiring of field equipment, and startup support. The role also ensures adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Supervise and coordinate electrical technicians in the installation, wiring, and commissioning of automated machinery.
- Plan, assign, and oversee daily electrical work activities to meet project timelines and deliverables.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in panel wiring, machine wiring, conduit routing, and system integration.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements (NFPA, NEC, UL 508, IEC, CE).
- Review and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to guide team execution.
- Oversee connection of power supply wiring, inter-machine cabling, and integration of system components.
- Ensure proper installation and function of pneumatic systems, including routing of air lines to valves and cylinders.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, controls, and project management teams to resolve technical issues and drive execution.
- Travel to customer facilities to support installations, commissioning, and service activities as required.
- Drive continuous improvement in electrical build processes, productivity, and workmanship standards.
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
- Must meet Export Control Compliance requirements; therefore, a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. is required.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Electrical or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical experience, including experience with automated machinery.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and blueprints.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable standards (NFPA, NEC, UL 508, IEC, CE).
- Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and coordinate across functions.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Journeyman Electrician certification preferred.
- Experience leading electrical build teams on large automation or integration projects.
- Familiarity with control panel design and industrial automation systems.
- Ability to manage inventory, materials, and tooling for electrical build activities
- Position will require out-of-the area and overnight travel. Travel can be up to 30% of the time.
