What are the responsibilities and job description for the Talent Acquisition Manager position at Ascension Property Services (APS)?
MANAGER, TALENT ACQUISITION
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to build and lead a disciplined, scalable recruiting function across our operating companies.
This is not a traditional recruiting role.
This is a build-and-transform opportunity—designed for a leader who can bring structure to a decentralized environment, elevate hiring standards, and create a proactive, pipeline-driven Talent Acquisition model.
You will play a critical role in moving the organization from reactive hiring to strategic talent planning, while partnering closely with business leaders to ensure hiring supports both immediate needs and long-term growth.
What You’ll Lead
Build & Scale Talent Acquisition
- Design and execute a Talent Acquisition strategy aligned with growth, acquisitions, and workforce demands
- Transition the organization to a proactive, pipeline-driven recruiting model
- Establish clear standards for quality of hire, consistency, and hiring discipline
Own Recruiting Operations & ATS (ADP Workforce Now)
- Lead implementation and optimization of ADP Workforce Now Recruiting
- Standardize requisition intake, workflows, approvals, and reporting
- Ensure data integrity, job architecture consistency, and system adoption
Lead Full-Cycle Recruiting Excellence
- Oversee end-to-end recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer management
- Partner with hiring leaders to define role clarity, success profiles, and selection criteria
- Elevate the candidate and hiring manager experience
Build Talent Pipelines (Especially Skilled Trades)
- Develop pipelines for high-volume and critical roles (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, field leadership)
- Reduce reliance on agencies through direct sourcing and workforce planning
- Establish partnerships with trade schools, technical programs, and industry networks
Drive Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Track and improve key metrics: time-to-fill, quality of hire, source effectiveness, hiring manager satisfaction
- Use data to drive process improvements and executive insights
Create Consistency Across Operating Companies
- Align hiring practices while respecting local market dynamics
- Implement scalable standards without a “one-size-fits-all” approach
What We’re Looking For
- 7 years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including leadership
- Proven experience building or scaling a recruiting function in a high-growth environment
- Strong experience with an ATS (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
- Background in construction, skilled trades, or multi-site operations strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and hiring managers
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision making
What Success Looks Like
- A fully adopted, optimized ADP WFN recruiting platform
- Reduced time-to-fill and improved quality of hire
- Strong, proactive pipelines for critical roles
- Consistent, scalable hiring practices across all companies
- A high-performing Talent Acquisition team aligned to business priorities
Why Join Ascension
- Opportunity to build and shape Talent Acquisition from the ground up
- Direct impact on a high-growth, acquisition-driven platform
- Exposure to executive leadership and influence on business strategy
- A culture focused on accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
Location & Travel
- Remote or hybrid (FL, TN, TX preferred)
- Up to 30% travel across operating companies and recruiting events
Compensation
$115,000k annual base discretionary bonus. Final offer based on experience and qualifications
