How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Assess patients’ functional abilities and safety to perform independent living skills.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care using appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, seeking consultation when appropriate.
- Educate patients and caregivers on deficits, therapy goals, adaptive equipment, and available support resources.
- Guide discharge planning and oversee care delivered by COTAs and therapy technicians per regulatory standards.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Occupational Therapy (OT) license obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Drivers License preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
