Vice President of Human Resources

This is a pivotal leadership role for an experienced HR executive who brings both strategic vision and operational execution. The Vice President of Human Resources will lead all aspects of HR and talent acquisition, with a strong emphasis on building scalable recruiting functions and optimizing HR operations to support a distributed and operationally intensive workforce.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, data-driven, and experienced in high-growth environments where speed, structure, and adaptability are equally critical.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Drive organizational design, workforce planning, and leadership development initiatives
- Serve as a key advisor on talent, culture, and organizational effectiveness
Human Resources Operations
- Oversee all HR functions including employee relations, compliance, compensation, benefits, and performance management
- Build and implement scalable HR policies, processes, and infrastructure
- Ensure compliance across a multi-state workforce
- Lead initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, and culture
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting
- Build and lead a best-in-class recruiting function to support rapid hiring needs
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies across corporate and operational roles
- Implement recruiting metrics and analytics to drive performance and accountability
- Partner with leadership to proactively build talent pipelines
Operational Excellence
- Drive efficiency and process improvement across HR and recruiting
- Leverage HR technology and data to inform decision-making
- Support both corporate and field-based employee populations
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing HR and recruiting team
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive HR experience, including senior leadership roles
- Strong expertise across both HR operations and talent acquisition
- Experience in high-growth, operationally complex environments
- Background in aviation, airline, transportation, or logistics is preferred but not required
- Proven track record of building scalable HR and recruiting functions
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
