A well-established boutique personal injury and medical malpractice law firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Senior Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who thrives in a hands-on environment, is driven to succeed, and is looking for long-term growth, including potential leadership and partnership opportunities.
The firm handles both pre-litigation and litigation matters and is seeking someone who can confidently manage cases from intake through resolution, including trial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a full caseload of personal injury and medical malpractice matters from pre-litigation through litigation and settlement
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
- Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and trials
- Develop case strategy and work closely with clients throughout the lifecycle of the case
- Utilize legal technology and AI platforms to enhance efficiency and case management
- Collaborate with support staff and contribute to overall case execution and workflow
- Mentor junior team members and help elevate team performance
Qualifications (Must-Haves):
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney (medical malpractice experience preferred)
- Experience handling both pre-litigation and litigation files through settlement
- Deposition experience required; trial experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of case strategy, negotiation, and litigation process
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
- Technology proficient, including familiarity with AI-driven legal tools
- Driven, motivated, and committed to achieving strong outcomes
Preferred Profile:
- 8 years of experience in personal injury and/or medical malpractice
- Trial experience, including taking cases to jury verdict
- Leadership or staff management experience
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in long-term growth and potential partnership/ownership
- Seeking a transition from a larger firm to a more agile, boutique environment
