Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our client's legal team in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
This role provides critical administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, ensuring smooth case management and coordination of key legal activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage attorney's calendar, including scheduling of depositions, hearings, mediations, and other legal events.
- Coordinate and organize case-related appointments, ensuring deadlines are met and all key dates are properly scheduled.
- Assist paralegals with calendaring important case deadlines and tracking case progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel regarding case status and scheduling.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain legal documents, case files, and correspondence.
- Support attorneys with various administrative tasks as needed to ensure efficient case management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm or legal department.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal software and calendaring systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
- Familiarity with litigation processes and case management is a plus.
