Commercial Litigation Partner

Our client, a highly respected New York law firm, is seeking an accomplished Commercial Litigation Partner to join its growing litigation practice.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience handling sophisticated commercial disputes, with particular strength in commercial real estate litigation, construction disputes, landlord-tenant matters, and other complex business litigation. This opportunity is well suited for an entrepreneurial litigator who enjoys leading high-profile matters and working collaboratively across multiple practice areas.

Responsibilities:

• Lead complex commercial litigation matters from inception through trial, arbitration, settlement, and appeal.
• Draft and argue substantive motions in state and federal courts.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and corporate representatives.
• Prepare witnesses, experts, and clients for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.
• Handle trials, evidentiary hearings, injunction proceedings, and arbitrations.
• Advise clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with attorneys across transactional, construction, bankruptcy, leasing, and real estate practices.
• Supervise associates, mentor junior attorneys, and contribute to business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Significant experience handling complex commercial litigation matters.
• Experience with commercial real estate litigation, construction disputes, commercial landlord-tenant matters, and New York State Supreme Court practice is highly preferred.
• Strong advocacy, writing, negotiation, and client management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and an entrepreneurial approach to practice development.
• Active admission to the New York Bar.
• A portable book of business of at least $500,000 is required.
