Commercial Litigation Paralegal

Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal on behalf of a prominent South Florida law firm. This role is ideal for a proactive, highly organized legal professional with a strong background in complex commercial litigation matters. The successful candidate will work closely with senior attorneys on high-stakes cases and play an integral role in case strategy and execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist attorneys with all phases of commercial litigation, from pre-litigation through trial and appeal

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and other legal documents

• Coordinate and manage extensive document review and e-discovery processes

• Organize and maintain case files, deposition transcripts, expert materials, and exhibits

• Conduct factual and legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other databases

• Prepare and organize trial binders, exhibit lists, and witness materials

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors

• Calendar and track litigation deadlines, hearings, depositions, and filing requirements

• Assist with trial preparation, including logistics, witness coordination, and courtroom support

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience in commercial litigation

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program

• Strong working knowledge of Florida and federal court rules and procedures

• Experience with e-discovery platforms (Relativity, Concordance, or similar)

• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills

• Ability to manage complex, high-volume caseloads under tight deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
