The Marketing Coordinator is the keeper of Ascendyn's own story — shaping how the agency shows up, sounds, and connects across its social channels. This is an in-house growth role centered on Ascendyn's organic presence, pairing a creative eye with an analytical mind to grow the agency's audience and nurture its community.

Ascendyn Advertising is a boutique direct response advertising agency based in Old Town La Quinta, CA, specializing in trackable, measurable advertising for home and auto service businesses.

This is a full-time, in-office position based at our La Quinta office. It is not a remote or hybrid role — the nature of the work (production, shoots, and hands-on content creation) requires being on-site with the team.

Agency Growth & Organic Social

The heart of the role — owning Ascendyn's organic presence end to end.

Social Media Management

• Plan, schedule, and publish a strategic, consistent content calendar across Ascendyn's social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms).
• Nurture the agency's online community — responding to comments and messages in a warm, on-brand voice that builds genuine connection.
• Stay curious about social media algorithms, formats, and trends, adapting the approach as the landscape evolves.

Content Creation & Production

• Develop original organic content that tells Ascendyn's story and reflects its personality and values.
• Capture behind-the-scenes, vlog-style content that brings the team and the work to life.
• Translate ideas into a steady stream of posts, reels, and stories that engage and grow the audience.
• Produce educational video content that shares the agency's expertise and brings value to the audience.

Post-Production

• Edit and finish video and photo content for social, with attention to pacing, polish, and brand consistency.
• Craft short-form video (Reels, Stories, Shorts) tailored to perform on each platform.

Photography & Videography

• Shoot photography and videography for organic content, both off-site and around the studio.

Graphics & Design

• Design social graphics and visual assets that hold a cohesive, recognizable brand look.

Strategy & Insight

• Build a posting strategy grounded in what the data shows — tracking growth, engagement, and reach.
• Deliver data-driven reporting on what's working and where the opportunities are.
• Use insight to refine the content mix and calendar over time.

Tools & Platforms

• Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, and related tools).
• Meta Business Suite.
• Sprout Social or comparable social media scheduling and content-calendar platforms.
• A working knowledge of social media algorithms and current trends.

Agency Support & Growth Opportunities

While Ascendyn's organic presence is the heart of this role, there will be occasional opportunities to support the wider creative team on the client side. These moments are a natural way to broaden skills, learn the craft from every angle, and grow within the agency:

• Lend a hand as a production assistant at off-site client video and photo shoots.
• Support the creative team with graphic design or content production as needs arise.
• Step into other creative opportunities that help develop new skills and deepen experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Experience in social media management, graphic design, and content production.
• A passion for learning and growing in an ever-evolving creative world.

Physical Requirements

• Extended periods of sitting and repetitive motion, such as working at a computer for editing and design.
• Occasional standing and walking, particularly during shoots and production work.
• Able to lift and move up to 20 pounds as needed to transport and set up production equipment.
