We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This senior-level individual contributor role is responsible for managing complex accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, and supporting financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong technical accounting background with the ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Manage the full month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and consolidations
- Oversee general ledger maintenance and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and classified
- Perform detailed account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS (if applicable), and internal accounting policies
- Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations prepared by junior accountants
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and lease accounting (ASC 842)
- Handle complex accounting areas such as revenue recognition (ASC 606), inventory, or intercompany transactions
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
- Assist with tax provision calculations and coordinate with external tax advisors
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations
- Mentor and provide guidance to Staff Accountants and Accounting Specialists
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required); CPA preferred
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, index/match, etc.)
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) – [specify your system if applicable]
- Solid understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance (a plus)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
