Senior Key Account Manager – Transportation & Logistics

About the Role
The Senior Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-value strategic customers, driving revenue expansion, and securing new business within the transportation and logistics space. This role manages enterprise-level accounts with portfolios ranging from $50M–$100M and serves as a trusted advisor to customer leadership teams.
What You’ll Do
- Grow existing key accounts through expanded services and new solutions
- Develop and close new business from warm, high-potential leads
- Build executive-level relationships and conduct in-person customer meetings
- Lead proposals, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations
- Meet or exceed revenue, volume, and gross margin targets
- Partner with operations and pricing teams to ensure service excellence
- Analyze account financials to identify growth and profitability opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline, and forecasting
- Represent the organization at customer and industry events
- Travel approximately 2–3 times per month (up to 50%)
What We’re Looking For
- Proven success in complex B2B sales and key account management
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and executive presentation abilities
- Strategic, results-driven mindset with high emotional intelligence
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
- 10 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain preferred
- 5 years managing and closing complex key account relationships
- Operational experience a plus
- Bilingual proficiency a plus
