About the Role
We are looking to hire for a Credit Department, a Senior Credit Analyst with Corporate Loans (or middle-market loans) experience, who will support the origination, distribution, and portfolio management of primary and secondary syndicated loan transactions. You’ll evaluate corporate borrowers, prepare clear, decision-ready credit assessments, and ensure deals align with policy and risk appetite while partnering closely with lending and credit leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare end-to-end credit write-ups for committees covering new money, renewals, and amendments for U.S. corporate/institutional borrowers.
- Verify audit levels and spread/analyze financials; assess trends, ratios, cash flow, and peer comps.
- Review and interpret external sources (S&P, Moody’s, Fitch) and other credit references to inform recommendations.
- Provide clear policy alignment determinations and risk views on proposed/existing loans.
- Communicate with lending officers/credit managers; support training/mentorship for junior analysts.
- Maintain tight documentation discipline (BSA/AML/OFAC awareness expected across all work).
- Work efficiently with large datasets (thousands of rows) in Excel to validate inputs, build spreads, and QA figures. (Rephrased per your preference.)
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s in Finance/Business/Econ (advanced degree a plus).
- 5 years of corporate/credit analysis; exposure to syndicated loans or corporate banking preferred.
- Strong Excel and Word; analytical writing that’s crisp, factual, and committee-ready.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual is NOT-required), but Spanish would be a plus
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with covenant analysis, market comps, and secondary loan dynamics.
- Experience supporting audits/exams and remediation tracking.
