Ascendo Resources is partnering with a highly respected, well-established South Florida organization seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst to join its accounting team.

What You’ll Do
- Manage high-value, complex, and strategic customer accounts, ensuring accurate invoicing, collections, and payment application
- Prepare and monitor customer deposits, progress billing, and Work-in-Progress billing
- Review A/R aging and prioritize collection activity to reduce delinquent balances
- Contact customers regarding past-due invoices through professional phone and email communication
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment disputes, and significant account variances
- Process payments, credit memos, adjustments, and write-offs in accordance with company policies
- Perform complex account reconciliations and maintain accurate customer records
- Monitor Days Sales Outstanding and recommend strategies to improve collection performance
- Prepare weekly and monthly aging reports and collection updates for management
- Partner with Project Management, Estimating, Operations, Account Management, and Finance to address billing delays and discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and revenue-recognition activities
- Identify opportunities to strengthen A/R processes, internal controls, reporting, billing, and cash application
- Participate in ERP implementations, upgrades, testing, and user-acceptance activities
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to other Accounts Receivable team members
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for billing, collections, cash application, reconciliations, and A/R reporting
What You’ll Bring
- 5 years of experience in billing, collections, and accounting within a corporate environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field—or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting principles, and subledger-to-general-ledger relationships
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial data
- Experience with account reconciliations, aging analysis, cash application, progress billing, and A/R reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to investigate discrepancies, make sound decisions, and follow issues through resolution
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, learn quickly, and collaborate across departments
- Experience supporting process improvements or ERP implementations is highly valued
