BSA Analyst

About the Opportunity

We're seeking a detail-oriented and dependable BSA Analyst to join our team and support day-to-day Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and financial crime compliance activities. This is a hands-on role responsible for monitoring high-risk customers, reviewing customer documentation, investigating alerts, supporting regulatory reporting, and maintaining accurate compliance records.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and review high-risk customer accounts, including cash-intensive businesses, Money Services Businesses (MSBs), and substance-related businesses.
• Conduct annual risk assessments and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for high-risk customers.
• Review onboarding documentation and audit new accounts for required Customer Identification Program (CIP) and account-opening documentation.
• Maintain high-risk customer files and ensure required records and documentation remain current.
• Investigate and disposition alerts generated through the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring platform.
• Review transaction activity and red-flag scenarios to identify potentially suspicious or unusual activity.
• Prepare and file initial and recurring Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
• Process Section 314(a) and 314(b) information requests.
• Review Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) screening alerts related to wire transactions.
• Review and monitor Currency Transaction Report (CTR) activity to support accurate and timely regulatory reporting.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to investigations, customer reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting.
• Stay current on BSA, AML, OFAC, and related federal banking regulations through internal and external training.
• Follow established policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Communicate with internal teams to obtain, clarify, or validate customer and transaction information when needed.
• Support audits, examinations, compliance reviews, and other BSA/AML initiatives as needed.
• Maintain a positive, professional, detail-oriented, and team-focused approach.
• Support day-to-day compliance operations and other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• 2 years of professional experience in BSA/AML, OFAC, BSA auditing, financial crime compliance, or related banking functions.
• Experience working with Fiserv Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) or similar BSA/AML monitoring and case-management software.
• Working knowledge of BSA, AML, KYC, CIP, CDD, EDD, SAR, CTR, and OFAC requirements.
• Experience with high-risk customer monitoring, transaction monitoring, AML investigations, or suspicious activity review.
• Banking experience involving deposit operations, lending activities, branch operations, or related compliance functions is preferred.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience handling confidential and sensitive customer information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to follow established procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree or additional relevant banking/compliance education is a plus.
