Our client is a large, well-established organization with a strong corporate finance structure. They are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a corporate accounting background to support financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations in a complex business environment.
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position is ideal for someone who has worked in a structured corporate setting and is comfortable operating within a large organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit requests
- Support internal controls and compliance initiatives, including SOX requirements
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, tax, and operations
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within accounting functions
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Exposure to SOX compliance and audit processes preferred
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
