Logistics & Order Processing Coordinator
Location: Norcross, GA, 30071
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $50,000
Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite | Contract to Hire
We are seeking a Logistics & Order Processing Coordinator to join our team in Norcross. This is a hands-on coordination role that combines LTL freight shipment coordination with order processing in a fast-paced, multi-channel distribution environment.
The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working quickly across multiple computer systems, coordinating shipments from start to finish, and making sure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
What You'll Do
Logistics & LTL Shipment Coordination – approximately 50%
- Coordinate daily LTL and FTL shipments with warehouses, 3PL partners, and freight carriers
- Obtain and compare freight quotes through carrier and logistics portals
- Schedule freight pickups and delivery appointments
- Determine and match the appropriate freight class to shipments
- Prepare, attach, and manage Bills of Lading (BOLs), pallet placards, shipping documents, and related paperwork
- Coordinate shipment details with warehouses and carriers to ensure accurate pickups
- Track shipments and proactively address delays, exceptions, or delivery issues
- Communicate with carriers, warehouses, 3PLs, and internal teams to keep shipments moving
- Handle freight claims, returns, replacements, and other transportation-related issues as needed
Order Processing – approximately 50%
- Process customer orders accurately across multiple channels, including Amazon, Wayfair, and B2B/wholesale accounts
- Enter and manage orders within ERP, inventory, and order management systems
- Coordinate order fulfillment with warehouses and 3PL partners
- Monitor inventory across multiple locations and sales channels
- Identify and resolve order, inventory, or fulfillment issues quickly
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the order and shipping process
- Communicate with sales, customer service, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth order flow
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in logistics, freight coordination, transportation, supply chain, or order processing
- Required: Direct experience coordinating LTL shipments and working with freight carriers and/or 3PLs
- Strong understanding of LTL freight processes, freight class, BOLs, pallet placards, carrier quotes, and scheduling appointments
- Experience processing orders and managing multiple tasks in a computer-based environment
- Experience with multi-channel eCommerce or wholesale order environments such as Amazon, Wayfair, Shopify, or B2B platforms is preferred
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP, WMS, TMS, or order management systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work with speed in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently follow up on shipments, orders, and issues through resolution
The Right Fit
This is not primarily a management position. We are looking for a hands-on logistics and order processing professional who enjoys being in the details and keeping shipments and orders moving.
You should be comfortable coordinating multiple LTL shipments at once, navigating carrier portals, getting quotes, scheduling appointments, preparing freight documentation, processing orders, and switching between multiple systems and priorities throughout the day.
