A well-established regional law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Greenville, SC office. This role supports a busy defense litigation practice with a focus on construction-related matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all phases of defense litigation, from case inception through trial
- Draft, format, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Manage case files, including document organization and electronic filing (state and federal courts)
- Coordinate and track deadlines, hearings, and trial preparation activities
- Review, summarize, and organize discovery materials, including medical and construction records
- Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel as needed
- Support trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness coordination
Qualifications:
- 3 years of litigation paralegal experience (defense and/or construction litigation preferred)
- Strong knowledge of court procedures, rules, and e-filing systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
