Senior Accounting Manager
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our accounting function. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving continuous process improvement within a dynamic, growing manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Coordinate and lead annual audits, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors
- Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Maintain and reconcile subsidiary accounts, resolving discrepancies as needed
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen financial operations
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, ensuring high performance and accountability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 7–10 years of progressive accounting and/or audit experience
- Proven experience in an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience managing audits and working with external auditors
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
