About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations for a production facility. This position serves as a key business partner to operations leadership, helping drive financial performance through cost analysis, budgeting, inventory management, and process improvements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing accounting, standard costing, and financial reporting, along with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain and analyze standard costing, bills of materials (BOMs), and manufacturing cost variances.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for plant operations.
- Monitor inventory valuation, physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and work-in-progress (WIP).
- Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
- Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Support audits by coordinating with internal and external auditors.
- Review credit approvals, collections, accruals, and fixed asset accounting.
- Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel to analyze financial data and support business decisions.
- Mentor and support accounting staff while promoting continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, standard costing, inventory accounting, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, IQMS, or similar.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across operations and finance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
