About Us
We are a growing commercial construction firm delivering high-quality projects along the East Coast. As we scale, we're looking for a seasoned Controller to lead our financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic decision-making. This role reports directly to the CFO and is fully on-site Monday–Friday in our Miami Office
What You'll Do
- Oversee all accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close
- Manage job costing, WIP schedules, and project profitability analysis
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and construction-specific accounting standards
- Implement and monitor internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Prepare timely financial statements and executive-level reports
- Manage cash flow and banking relationships
- Partner with project managers on cost tracking, variance analysis, and financial insights
- Lead annual audits and coordinate with external CPA firms
- Oversee accounting systems including Sage 300, Procore, and Miter
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction
- Strong command of job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting
- Proficiency with construction accounting software
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative by nature

Salary : $210,000 - $250,000
