Our client, an industry-leading logistics company based in Doral, FL, is seeking a Cargo Claims Coordinator (Bilingual Spanish a must) to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time, in-office role based at the company's Doral headquarters. - Manage cargo claims from initial receipt through to complete resolution.
- Perform detailed investigations by analyzing bills of lading, inspection reports, photographs, and additional supporting documentation.
- Evaluate liability and conduct negotiations to achieve equitable settlements with clients, carriers, and insurance partners.
- Collaborate closely with cargo insurance providers on claim submissions and recovery efforts.
- Deliver clear, professional communication in both English and Spanish with customers, agents, and cross-regional internal teams.
- Maintain precise claims records and generate regular reports for leadership.
- Spot opportunities to lower claim frequency and boost overall recovery success rates.
- Full bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken) – mandatory.
- Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in cargo claims processing, insurance adjusting, or logistics operations.
- Excellent analytical thinking, negotiation capabilities, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stay composed, productive, and focused on solutions in a fast-moving, high-performance environment with open feedback.
- Skilled at handling multiple claims concurrently while thriving under pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with maritime regulations, cargo liability rules, or the container shipping sector is a significant advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required.
