Ascendo Resources is partnering with a national commercial finance client that is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to join its Charlotte headquarters. This role is FULLY ONSITE.
The company provides secured financing solutions to mid-size and large businesses and partners closely with equipment dealers and manufacturers across multiple industries.
This role offers the opportunity to work directly with business leaders, support key operational initiatives, and influence legal strategy across a multi-state, multi-entity organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership and internal teams to explain the legal implications, risks, and advantages of proposed business strategies.
- Develop and execute plans for managing investigations, litigation, and pre-litigation matters, including issues involving asset recovery, collections, and bankruptcy.
- Assist business units in creating and improving processes and systems that reduce legal exposure and help prevent disputes.
- Oversee external legal counsel and coordinate strategy on active litigation.
- Provide legal support for transactions and day-to-day business operations.
- Address a wide range of legal questions and needs as they arise across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Active license to practice law in North Carolina.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
- Background in creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, or asset recovery.
