Summary
My client is one of the nation’s top law firms, renowned for its expertise in personal injury and sexual abuse. I am currently helping them find an Attorney for their SD office
They are open to general PI (plaintiff or defense) experience
Responsibilities
- Represent plaintiffs in sexual abuse litigation cases with professionalism, empathy, and dedication;
- Manage a caseload from initiation through resolution, including investigation, client depositions; deposing other witnesses as needed, opposing motions for summary judgements and preparation for trial as needed;
- Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings;
- Collaborate with the team to develop effective legal strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients;
- Effectively communicate with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school;
- Admitted to practice law in the state of California;
- 4-20 years of litigation experience;
- Demonstrated Expertise in litigation, with a focus on sexual abuse cases preferred;
- Trial Experience either as first or second chair, is highly desirable;
- Proven track record in plaintiffs’ personal injury cases, particularly asbestos related matters;
- Exceptional writing, research, analytical, and communication skills;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple cases while accommodating each client’s medical treatment schedule;
- Possess a sense of empathy towards asbestos victims and adeptness in guiding them through the deposition process.
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $140k-220k base. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
