About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on QA Automation Lead to drive test automation for Azure cloud-based applications and champion QA best practices across teams.
Job Title: Lead SDET
Location: Plano, TX or Irvine, CA
Key Responsibilities:
- Review engineering designs to embed quality assurance requirements and considerations early in the development cycle
- Develop and enhance the automation framework to support Azure cloud-based application testing
- Establish and maintain QA automation best practices, driving continuous improvement initiatives Partner with Development, DevOps, and Release Management teams to coordinate testing efforts and resolve system-level issues
Required Skills & Experience
- 8 years of hands-on C# development/testing and strong SQL skills
- 2 years leading or mentoring team members
- Advanced automation expertise: Visual Studio, C#, RestSharp, HttpClient, Selenium
- Strong REST API/web services testing experience (Postman)
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, JIRA, and test management tools (X-ray a plus)
- Data validation experience; hands-on with Selenium Grid or Docker setups
- Agile/Scrum experience (SAFe a plus)
- Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills and ability to build performance testing frameworks
- Collaborative mindset — comfortable partnering with Dev, DevOps, and Release Management
Nice to Have
- Experience using AI - powered coding/testing agents (Eg: as Devin, Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate test development
- Mortgage industry background
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 - $130,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
