We are a well-established, nationally recognized regional CPA and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Government Audit & Assurance practice. What You'll Do
- Lead and support government audit engagements from planning through report issuance.
- Perform and review complex audit procedures and workpapers.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff throughout engagements.
- Resolve technical accounting and auditing issues while ensuring high-quality client service.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members regarding engagement progress and audit findings.
- Identify opportunities to improve audit efficiency through technology and best practices.
- Assist with engagement planning, budgeting, scheduling, and completion within deadlines.
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable auditing and accounting standards, including GASB, GAAS, SAS, and other relevant guidance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3 years of public accounting audit experience.
- CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification.
- Experience auditing government or public sector entities is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of audit methodology, financial reporting, and professional standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000–$95,000 plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be based on experience, education, and overall qualifications.
