The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take ownership of cases, work closely with experienced trial lawyers, and gain exposure to a wide variety of complex civil litigation matters. While candidates with medical malpractice or insurance defense experience are highly preferred, the firm is open to strong litigators from other practice areas who have solid courtroom and case management experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters through all phases, from case inception through resolution
- Handle pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation
- Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners and senior attorneys
- Draft substantive motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurers
- Assist with trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing in Utah (or eligible for admission)
- Strong litigation experience with excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Medical malpractice or insurance defense experience is a strong plus, but attorneys with broader civil litigation backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Ability to independently manage cases while working collaboratively within a team
- This is an onsite position based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $115,000 β $155,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
