We are working with a growing firm, looking for an Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team. Specifically, we are looking for someone who has 8 years of experience, with previous trucking and commercial transportation experience. Need a portable book of business.
Requirements:
- 8 years of experience
- Portable book of business
- Previous insurance defense experience
- Prior commercial trucking/transportation experience
- Civil litigation experience
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in Florida
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the defense of complex, high-exposure personal injury, property damage, and wrongful death lawsuits stemming from commercial trucking and transportation accidents.
- Guide corporate clients on local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including FMCSA compliance, drug and alcohol testing protocols, and hazardous materials handling.
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel to insurance carriers and transportation companies on contract drafting, risk mitigation, real estate matters, and general commercial disputes.
- Oversee all phases of civil litigation, from initial pre-suit investigation and accident reconstruction to depositions, motions practice, mediation, and trial.
The annual salary for this position is between 175k-250k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
