Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney – Edison, NJ
A respected litigation-focused law firm is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its growing team in Edison, NJ. This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated business disputes and work directly with clients in high-stakes litigation matters.
Responsibilities:
- Manage complex commercial litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal.
- Handle business and contract disputes, shareholder litigation, trade secret/non-compete matters, consumer protection claims, real estate litigation, and other business-related disputes.
- Draft and argue motions, conduct depositions, manage discovery, and represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation.
- Develop litigation strategy, advise clients on risk management, and mentor junior attorneys.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school with active New Jersey Bar admission (New York Bar is a plus).
- 8 years of commercial litigation experience.
- Strong courtroom advocacy, legal writing, and case management skills.
- Experience handling complex business disputes independently and managing client relationships.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The base salary for this position is between $170,000 – $200,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
